Sadly, yes my friend. This whole month of halloween has been fun, but its time we return to the underground.

Who would want to return to the underground when we have so much to do here! We can go and explore the world and even visit the world of skeletons! Its a fun world, why would we go?

Because... Thats where we live, and also because Plants wants us out already.

Cmon bud let us stay more! :(

Sadly, i cant. Ive had enough of a break and need to go back to posting more stuff! Also ive run out of food for you all.

FFB Update Teaser #2: Mini-Events and Event Guests!

With Events becoming a part of the schedule of the blog, we thought of doing something else.
Ya see, i do get bored sometimes of posting and thinking of cool stuff for the blog, and so i have decided that for most events, a guest will be hosting them! Guests will be able to post and manage the blog for the time i give them, while i go ahead and take a break.

Think of it like this years Halloween event, except they entered MY house without MY permission.

As for Mini-Events, these will be week long events with just a simple blog design change and guest. Nothing special... Unless the guest goes out of his way to spoil things, which is why i will check them every now and then to make sure they dont do that.

Lets Talk Events! FFB Update teaser

Events are a fun way to... well, have fun! And we want to do more of these, but not in the way like we used to.

You see, our current event schedule and length is all about the special holidays, like X-mas, Halloween, and Valentines. We also do others for things like Fall and Summer. Generally the length is around 1 month or 3 weeks.

As you can see, its WAY too long, especially with the Summer Fest 2017 event. After so long it became boring.

Because of this, we are going to change our Event schedule beginning this next November.
Our NEW Event schedule is gonna be WAY shorter in length. Events will now start 1 or 2 weeks before what its celebrating.

For example: If April Fools is coming soon, expect the event decors and posts to begin 1 week before April 1st.

With this new schedule Events wont last long and wont become as stale as before and now.
And with that said i would like to present the November 2017 calendar as well!

 

Thats right! Every new month will have a calendar as well! This is the November 2017 calendar.

Back in 2016 the Thanksgiving event would begin around the start of the month. It will now start mid-way thru November/1 week before Thanksgiving.

We will also have smaller events to fill the gap between major events. We will talk about those on another date.

Item Showcase: Dracula Cloak

This weeks item is the Dracula Cloak.

As king of this place, i demand this cloak be given to me THIS INSTANT.

You do know that 1: Its for a vampire and 2: It doesnt even fit you?

Yeah yeah but who cares! I want it!

Anyways... This cloak is designed for experienced vampires, like Dracula. A very basic red cloak. That does make me wonder how has Dracula been doing recently? Does he still sell his items? Because that where i bought my iconic skeleton costume.

Ive heard he has been okay. Hes been lurking around here. Ive seen him... During the night...

Funkey Bios: Deuce

Deuce

Fond of all things hip and trendy, the Deuce set the standards for cutting edge culture. In fact, the phrase “What the Deuce” means what’s hot and “That’s Deuce” means that’s cool.

The Deuce love music but not that snooty, high culture opera that the Glub sing. The Deuce like Rockabilly and anything that’s fast and you can dance to.

The Deuce are notorious pranksters. The most famous prank was when they tricked the Glub into wearing elaborate costumes with big platform shoes, rhinestone sunglasses and jeweled hats for their performance before Parliament and the Queen. She was not amused.

Despite getting on the nerves of many Funkeys at one point or another, everyone wants to be Deuce.

Event Card Review: Trick-Or-Treater

Oh look. Its me.
Yes humans. EMBRACE ME! This weeks Event Card is me! The Great Trick-Or-Treater!

Im a 2/3 3 cost Gourmet Party Zombie. While those stats sound poor, just wait to hear my ability, for as the 1st trick you play in each turn, i will give you a Healthy or Sugary Treat. Healthy Treat costs 1 and gives a zombie +1/+3, while Sugary Treat gives a zombies +3/+1, but costs 2.

Use my amazing treats to buff up zombies, and make sure to use some on me too so i can live more! I guarantee you any trick-heavy deck will love my presence.

Oh also another event card is currently on sale for real moneys: Witch Hazel. She only has 1 health and costs 4, but can transform zombies into Puff-Shrooms.
Please, if you use her, make sure that it doesnt target me. Thanks.

Funkey Bios: Fallout

Fallout

The Fallout are the mad scientists of Terrapinia. Scientists, in that they are constantly seen conducting strange experiments throughout Funkeys Town. Mad, oh yes, because Funkeys are always asking them what they are doing and interrupting their “important” work and, more notably, because their experiments rarely work.

The Boggle often follow them around eating …errr… cleaning up their messes to keep their many failed experiments from polluting the town.

It is rumored that they are experimenting with the essence of fun, but what that actually means is a mystery. It is commonly believe, and discussed, debated and deliberated, that one day the Fallout will either discover this “essence” or release something quite the opposite – a destructive substance that not even the Boggle can digest.

Item Showcase: Chocolate Stick

"This melee weapon looks sweet, but Fuse's monsters definitely think otherwise."

This weeks Item is the Chocolate Stick.

Wait, a chocolate stick? How is this dangerous?

Trust me. It is. Though only for lower leveled monsters, as its not really too effective on higher leveled ones. For beginners, its a common tradable level 6 melee weapon. It does a good amount of damage for its level, being 246.

As we all should know, melee weapons are short ranged, but pretty powerful. The only downside is that you will get damaged quite a bit, but nothing that a Health nano can fix.

No no no. Can it be eaten?

I guess so. Its made of chocolate after all. Thought it seems it has peanuts, which i dont like.

Is the wooden stick edible tho?

Ugh...

Funkey Bios: Wasabi

Wasabi
Naturally stealthy and skilled in the art of Kung-Fu, the Wasabi are extremely secretive and rarely speak. Always appearing silent and composed, their aloofness is often misunderstood and sometimes feared by their fellow Funkeys.

The Wasabi do nothing to dispel this image, preferring to keep to themselves. They are in perfect harmony of mind and body. Honesty, self discipline and respectful behavior are their core values. They are often deep in meditation, studying ancient scrolls, painting and sculpting or engaged in rigorous exercises to hone their fighting skills.

Wasabi physical feats are those of legend including stories of walking up walls, on water and extended levitation. No one has ever challenged a Wasabi and lived to tell the tale.

Event Card Review: Haunted Pumpking

 

Hello Humans! This weeks event card is non other than me! The Great Haunted Pumpking!

Being a 1 sun cost, 4 attack 2 health Solar class with no traits makes me a very strong early game and pressure Plant. I do love sharing however, so the Zombie Hero gets a Monster card when im played in the board. To balance it out.

Plant Heroes! Use me as a great damage Plant in order to finish the opponent quickly! But do be careful as i have very low health, and thus can be destroyed even with the weakest of Zombies.

I shall be seeing you in battle!

Funkey Bios: Stitch

 

Stitch
Funkey folklore reports it like this – a long time ago the Stitch were trusted with the great secret of the great King Funkankhamun of the Golden Age. It was a secret so great that it had the potential of bringing down the king, his Golden Age and maybe all of Terrapinia.

As protectors of this great secret, the Stitch kept away from most other Funkeys, spending their time lurking in graveyards, peacefully cultivating and gathering mushrooms. They were so successful in keeping this secret, that all Funkeys started entrusting their secrets to the Stitch. They would follow other Funkeys around, learn their secrets and then store them for safe keeping.

After years of this behavior, the Stitch evolved to having lips sewed shut, and an eye for danger and no heart so that they can never be tempted to tell their secrets. If what they knew got out...

Fraidy Cat is a really fun card if used correctly... and if it doesnt die turn 1 of course.

Oh yeah and also those stupid Fuck Peas finally got nerfed. Thank the lord... Too bad Briar Fuck is still OP as always (but not as much as me).

Anyways... Hows the Candy Hunt going? Found any of the candies so far? I scattered them around the night Plants went to sleep.

Oh yeah and also a weird pumpkin guy entered the basement and decided to tag along. I dont know why but im gonna let him talk now.

FFB: A Quick Update #3

Hey guys! Plants10000 here for a quick announcement (yes the 3rd one in a row rip)
My internet and Firefox, the browser i use to enter the internet, were really slow these past days, which didnt let me enter the blog and any website. Kept freezing constantly.

Luckily, a miracle occured and i was able to re-download Chrome! I uninstalled it because it stopped supporting Unity back in 2014 (2015?) and wouldnt let me play Adventure Time Battle Party.

                        Yeah that game. Still available but pretty much NO ONE plays it anymore.


The weirdest part about it is that Firefox started malfunctioning like that (freezing, crashing etc.) AFTER the most recent update, so it seems there are some problems there. Either its me going crazy or maybe im right, because Chrome is very fast rn (NOT SPONSORED).

Aside from all that jumbo, we finally got a revised schedule! Its not necesarilly new but it has gotten some additions and some stuff removed and moved around.

For those who dont understand the colors, heres a quick rundown of the color code:
Green: FusionFall
White: UB Funkeys
Orange: PvZ Heroes

Yep! As Trick Or Treater said earlier this week, we are readding PvZ Heroes posts and content. We want to keep a variety of content while we wait for FFR to fully release.

Also i ended up messing the schedule up and forgot to add something else to Saturday: Featured deck of the week. Expect that every Saturday.

We shall begin using this new schedule next week. Stay tuned!

Quick Update #2

Hey.
Plants´ internet is back to normal. Turns out Firefox constantly freezes for some reason. Maybe it was the new update. Who knows.
He´s also working on a new schedule to group all the stuff (UB Funkeys, FF, PvZH) so expect that soon.

FusionFall RETRO: October Update

FusionFall RETRO released a post regarding progress during the past month and October. Here it is:

OCTOBER UPDATE:

It's been about a month since our last official check in. As always, we're still around and still busy. As you can probably imagine, our lives have picked up, but a lot of free time is going toward Retro development. Most recently, we've ensured features can quickly be converted from their previous state last year and be usable by our current setup. As proof of concept, we got NPCs loading in perfectly, and it took very little time to convert em! That's great news for adding features, as it means it will be a quick and painless process. This past month has been lots of research and general development.

However, the database hurdle still remains. Progress has been made, though much work still has to be done, and many things still need to be put into place. Without going into the nitty gritty (and frankly confusing) details, It's a tedious grind, but we appreciate the patience.

Finally, I just wanted to personally thank everyone for sticking with us. I've wound up saying this quite often, but the positivity, and more importantly the understanding from the community is awesome to see. We're not machines turning on switches, this is legitimately hard work on our developer figuring out how to make everything work with an otherwise outdated and confusing game.

I can understand frustration with us, but I'd like to remind everyone that this is and will remain a free project built out of our love for FusionFall. This isn't some kinda joke we're playing, we're not sitting on the game playing it in our free time, and we very much want to see everyone playing the game! These things take time and a ton of hard work, so once again, thank you to everyone. We have an amazing and quite frankly huge community considering everything we've been through, and it's great to see that through thick and thin, FusionFall keeps us together. I only hope to see us expand and have tons and tons of users playing Retro!

FusionFall Videos: Halloween Throwback

As we all may know, FusionFall held an amazing halloween party in 2009, with dark skies and Dracula parked in the Cul-De-Sac. Rather sad that i wasnt able to attend, but heres a video to show what was the event about.

PvZ Heroes Event Card Review: Fraidy Cat

What? The fact im in charge for now makes me able to do changes and additions here. Im gonna return the PvZ Heroes Event Card Showcase series, and the first one on here is the scary Fraidy Cat.

Fraidy Cat is a Beastly 1 cost, 2 attack 2 health Pet Zombie. Its ability gives it +1/+1 for every trick played, then it moves to a random lane (except for the water lane as it is afraid of the water).

Aside from incredible stats for a 1 cost (even i wish i had those stats), his ability is pretty great at controlling the miserable plant hero by conditioning him into not using tricks in the fear this little puss grows. Its big weakness are removal tricks that get rid of him for good, like Berry Blast or Weed Whack, to name a few.

While i dont like giving advice for plants, i would recommend you leave him alone and let him destroy you use tricks like Berry Blast, Banana Bomb and more to defeat him in one go and not let him grow.

Funkey Bios: Xener

Xener

Xener means traveler in Funkey. In the late 40th century, Funkeys were obsessed with space travel. They spent millions of coins on missions that accomplished very little. The last flight mission crashed and remains intact to remind them of this frivolous program but the Xener still believe that space travel is the final frontier.

It was the Xener experience with travel that helped the Guild of Master Technicians build the first portals. Their intention was to boldly go where no Funkey had gone before – the furthest reaches of space. But they found the portals ill equipped to reach that far. An unexpected benefit was using these portals for travel throughout Terrapinia.

Now the Xener spend most of their time playing space video games, honing their skills for one day, they will return to space.

Plants asked me to take over for the month of October, so here i am providing my incredible wisdom to you all, and by wisdom i mean treats, and by treats i mean the candy you have been collecting for MY Spooky Candy Hunt, as he stole that from me.

Im finally out of the basement (kind of) and ready to control this place for sometime.
I would like to warn you all, comments about me being useless or underpowered in PvZH will come with a harsh punishment (you wish)

I would like to tell you all that FF Videos and UB Funkey posts will be taken over with Spooky stuff, so you either be a brave man and come in or chicken out.

The Great Candy Hunt! Week 1

Welcome to the 1st week of FFBs Super Spoopy Candy Hunt, or as i like to call it... The Great Candy Hunt!

The rules are very simple! Yall have from today to November 2nd to find 10 hidden candy around the blog. While sadly FFR hasnt released multiplayer nor taros yet, we cant give out a good reward, but we promise you all a fun reward by the end of all of this :)
