Daily Vlog posts 2: RETRO´s Stability

Whats my thought on the stability of RETRO?

Well it was a bit unstable when the game was on CN. In the open beta it was much more polished and stable, and now, according to Moribee, one of the Community Members, said that the devs are gonna use the 2010 build, since its now WAY MORE stable than the 2009 build (Wow, good job).

Kevman95, a game master, said:

"The reasons why we are sticking with our 2010 build is because we did originally think that the build was pretty much unstable and crashed all the time (which was a majority of our reason to going to find a 2009 build, as it was said to be very very stable) but turns out it was just the way we were handling warps incorrectly which caused pretty much every single crash you guys had in our alpha tests.

So pretty much the game is pretty much how we wanted it, not crashing all that often as before. "

The 2009 FF version has been officially found!

Thats right! The 2009 version of FF was found and now its in the hands of Womayhem, one of the game masters. Here are some pics:

This wont speed up progress on RETRO tho, but its nice that they got it to explore the unused area theyre looking for.

Daily Vlog Posts 1: A weird school story...

Ill be doing these everyday from now on. So today ill tell you a weird but interesting story.

This Monday my teacher, whose for the purpose of identity ill call "Mrs. Skinny"  didnt gave us homework, then one of my friends, who ill name "Hi"  told the teacher that she didnt gave us homework, she gave us homework, i told Hi that i hated him, and i got extra homework.

You see, my friends at my school are... well... Dicks. They never work when the teachers tell them. They dont understand shit, and they just dont listen.

Anyways, Hi didnt got extra homework. I didnt do that extra homework, as me and my family thought it was BS that everyone is bad, cept for me, and thats not fair that everyone else got extra homework.

You see, the school that i go to was great back then, but when they announced that they were building another school, they just stopped caring about the other school. Luckily ill transfer to another school soon :)

Back on the story, the next day, of course EVERYONE was asking if i did the extra homework, i told them no, and they just harrased me for the entirety of the day... Until skinny came and said... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

My mom came to talk to the teacher in the morning of that day to talk about the Homework. That worked out and now she just completely forgot about it.

School is Shit man...

Lost Media Sundays: Ed, Edd & Eddy "Special Ed"

Weird topic today :P

"Special Ed" was an episode of Ed, Edd n Eddy that was put into production, but never completed, and thus never saw the light of day.

Very little is known about this episode and the only evidence we have of it existing is an interview, in which Danny Antonucci reminisces after talking about the show capturing childhood spontaneity; he says the episode didn't go through because "It was just too real". It is possible that it would have been an episode that focused directly on Ed.

But why did it never came out?

Maybe lots of real life problems or things happened in it. We only know the name, so we cant know what was the episode even.

Lost Media Sundays! The Amazing World Of Gumball Scrapped Episode: The Rex

Why the hell FFL and FFR news have been non existant recently!?

Oh right, the split.

Anyways. Today we are talking about a scrapped episode from one of CNs most popular shows: The Amazing World Of Gumball.

In 2012, prior to its premiere, a complete list of season-two episodes of The Amazing World of Gumball was leaked online. Included in this list, strangely, was an unaired episode titled "The Rex", which later got abandoned due to the fact that the creators of the show thought that the episode was a complete waste of money.

Very little about this episode has been released on the Internet, except for a single storyboard that was once on Jean Texier's website (alongside storyboards for the rest of the episode), which shows Tina Rex and her father attacking the titular character, Gumball, and a shot of a ravaged city. It may get reworked into a less expensive episode during Season 4.

 

Short one today, but exams are coming to my school soon, so i have to study :P

Lost Media Sundays: Spongebob Saves The Krusty Krab 3D

Welcome to the 1st ever Lost Media Sunday! In this weekly post ill cover a hidden or lost media, like videogames or shows. It doesnt have to be all about cartoon network right?

SpongeBob SquarePants Saves the Krusty Krab 3D is a 2002 computer game developed by 3D Groove for Nick.com's Nick Arcade service. 3D Groove; the developers for the game also made a couple of other games based on Nick's cartoons, including; The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius: Rescue Jet Fusion, Hey Arnold!: Runaway Bus and Dora the Explorer 3D Driving Adventure.

This game, among others, were included in a very rare Nick Arcade Games CD as a free trial. However, according to the Spongepedia as well as other sources, a bug occurs on the disc where if you tried to play it, an internal system error would be displayed and would not let you play it. 
 
Sadly, Nick Arcade was shut down in 2009 when Nickelodeon changed the look of its channel and logo as well as its website. Since then, the game, let alone a functional, playable version became very hard to find, leading to the game being practically impossible to play.

On March 31, 2015, a Lost Media contributor by the name of  KoboChat leaked a fully functional, downloadable trial of the game, available here

Gameplay is fairly simple. The game's main objective is to collect all of the Krabby Patties in the stage and return them to the Krusty Krab before time runs out. You can play as one of 3 characters depending on which version you play. If you're playing the Free Version, you can only play as SpongeBob, but if you're playing the Full Version you can play as either SB, Patrick or Squidward, each with programmed quotes from the Season 1 episodes; FUN, Sandy's Rocket, Squeaky Boots, and Culture Shock.

Each character has their own quirks as well:
SpongeBob: Moves the slowest, and the most common quote is "I think you're a winner." when Time is Up, and "Ah! There's one now!" when close to a Jellyfish.

Patrick: Second fastest, the only known quote is a crying sound effect when Time is Up (lasts for about 2 seconds)

Squidward: The fastest character playable, and the most common quote played is "My vacation begins NOW!" which is programmed for when Time is Up.

There is only 1 enemy in the game, a jellyfish, and a power-up that makes you run faster for a limited time.

Rather suprised actually :P

Been 4 days since my last post, and some suprising things have happened!

First of all, a user by the name of "pisgeu_pischk" found a 2008 version of FF. Theyre still looking for the 2009 version, but its progress i guess.

Second, and most important, got 1500 visits! I would like to thank you all for this.

Third, im gonna try and be more active these next few days, but the problem is that im getting alot of homework, due to the fact we need to finish school before June.

Dont worry tho! In June ill be more active due to the fact ill finish school!
