FusionFall 101: Nano Powers: Triggered Powers

Welcome back to FusionFall 101, today we are taking a look at Triggered powers! Lets get going!
One easy way to recognize them is by their orange/brown color. These powers can help in doing damage or applying effects to Fuse´s minions. Unlike Passive powers, Triggered powers come in 3 variations: Point, Cone and Area.

Point does the most damage and applies the longest effects from all 3, but can only target one enemy at a time.

Cone does less damage than point, and applies effects for less time, but affects all enemies in front or in the path of the player.

Area does the least damage and applies the effect for the least amount of time, but affects every monster around the player.

Theres also Self-Area, but we will get onto that one later.

Damage
Damage - Point
Damage does straight up damage without any sort of effect. Comes in 3 variations. Point does the most damage, while Cone and Area dont do as much but are still very effective.

Drain
Drain - Point
Drain causes enemies to slowly lose HP at a steady rate. Comes in Point and Area variations. Point does the most drain per second, while Area does the least but comes in really handy. It can for some reason fail at times however.

Health
Health - Self
Health is one of the most handy powers out there. It simply heals you up and keeps you alive. Comes in 3 variations: Self, Group and Self-Area. Self heals the most, while Self-Group and Self-Area heal the least. Self-Area heals you and everyone around you, but seems to cap at around 5 to 6 players around you, while Group heals everyone thats in your group, which means it can heal up to 3 players plus yourself.

Leech
Leech - Point
Leech will drain a good portion of the enemies HP and give it to you. The amount drained is around as much as Damage-Area or Damage-Cone does, but it is a good, damaging alternative to Health if you want to deal damage and heal at the same time. Only comes in Point.

Recall
Recall - Self
Recall brings you back to the last recall point you registered at in an Infected Zone. It comes in really handy for the huge IZs you later find on the upper levels of Level 11 and up. Comes in Self and Group variations.

Rocket
Rocket - Self
Rocket acts like a Double Jump as it lets you get a nice boost in height. While it can only be activated on the air, it acts as a really useful tool for Races and for traveling around the world. More significant is that it can be used as a combo with Jump to gain a massive boost in height. Only comes in Self.

Sleep
Sleep - Area
Sleep is quite a weird breed. It puts enemies to sleep, and comes in Area, Cone and Self-Area variations, but its one of the only powers that WONT WORK on some monsters. It can be used as a good way to run away if you are getting chased by some monsters in the world.

Snare
Snare - Cone
Snare will slow down your enemies, making it much easier to either run away or get distance on your enemies. Comes in Cone, Self-Area and Target Area variations.

Stun
Stun - Area
Stun completely makes the enemy affected unable to do anything for the duration of the effect. They cant attack or move during its effect. Comes in Area and Cone variations.

Revive
Revive - Self
Revive is not only a passive power, meaning you need to have a nano active to use it, but it must also be triggered. Instead of putting you back at the last Respawn Point (Resurrect Em´) or Entrance of the lair, it will instead respawn you back at the position you got knocked out by a monster in. Comes in Self and Group variations, but Group will revive other members, and not yourself.

And those are all of the Triggered Nano Powers! Next time we will look at the best powers for some nanos and the best ways to utilize some of them.

FFB Update: Winter Part TWO

Alright since all of our updates were placed for our 3.0 update i want to still do something for December, so here we go!

To start i really, REALLY want to make my YT channel a FusionFall channel, and to do that im gonna have to upload FusionFall related content, which is why ima make more YT series´ during December and beyond. I already have a few planned which i will try to explain today. I do wanna make it clear however, that ad revenue and money IS NOT MY GOAL, both on YT and Blogger, which is why you will never see ads on my videos, EVER. I just want to entertain you all and have fun with one of my favorite games of all time, so thats what ima do.

With that i do want to announce the new video series we are gonna make.

FusionFall 101 on Video: Yes, we are gonna go back and remake ALL of the FusionFall 101 posts on video form. A video is generally better than a post with alot of text, which is what ima start doing soon. I am still thinking of the format, but i do have the idea for where im going to get my clips for these videos.

Mission videos: Dont worry bout these. They will still continue as soon as more missions are released. I may make a commentary version about the HD videos later however, but stay tuned for a post regarding those much later.

Random videos: So you may or may not remember the 2 glitch videos i uploaded (which may or may not be glitch come to think about it lol). Well those are just gonna be random videos ima make from time to time. Not only glitches mind you, but stuff like gameplay and dumb stuff will be placed around this category.

Tips and tricks: Finally, i do want to make a Tips and Tricks series. Whether it be some grinding tips, nano or battle tips, they will be placed here.

To finish this off, i will also be reorganizing and renaming some videos. I will include the "FFR" or "FusionFall RETRO" tagline in the video name, as well as making separate playlists. Expect this later too.

Anyways, thats all i got! Expect the round-up of posts i missed soon!

FusionFall Videos: Level-Up Without Missions in The Future! Part 1

Did you know its faster to Level-Up in The Future by Grinding than by doing Missions? Heres Part 1 of Legomegazord´s adventure to showcase just that.

Item Showcase: Don Doom Scouter

Scouter Lens
Don Doom collected this scouter from a distant alien world. Now it's yours.
This weeks item is the Don Doom Scouter! This item is quite a gem as it can be obtained by defeating the deadly and huge Don Doom found piloting Pokey Oaks North and South in The Future. It is Super-Rare however, which means it will be hard to get it on the crate of the Don.

This item is pretty recognizable now, as the old leader of FFL, Dex, wore it on his Avatar.

FusionFall RETRO: Oil Ogre and Fusion Buttercup glitch like the Cyberus!

Yep! They have the same glitch too! Maybe it was intended?
Anyways heres the video. Enjoy!
~Plants10000

FusionFall RETRO: Tutorial Cyberus Glitch!

Looks like Lord Fuse has learnt from hackers, as this Cyberus has super range! Luckily tutorial BS has saved us and gave us invincibility, since we fully heal up every 3 hits we take! How nice of them.

Ima try it on Mr. Blob over there and Fusion Buttercup on a later date. For now witness the great hacks from this Cyberus!

Conspiracy? I think not!

FFR Weekly Devblogs #3: Quick Chat!

Hey Everyone! Welcome to the third update post! This time we’re here to discuss a feature that was introduced to FusionFall Retro called Quick Chat. As shown in our last video, Quick Chat is a feature we enabled that allows you to quickly say things through Menu Chat, by holding shift and pressing one of your number keys.

Once you hold shift, a menu appears on the left, and you can press a key to say something or do an emote. This is what the Quick Chat menu looks like:

Similar to Menu Chat, there are categories of messages. Simply hit the corresponding key to the category, and then hit the corresponding key for the message you would like to say.

We’ve also made conversations easier by keeping the chat window open each time you type out a message. With this feature we’ve also introduced a single-second delay between chat messages to prevent spam.

This should make chatting and coordinating with your friends easier, and fighting against Fuse should be a piece of cake!

Thanks for taking the time to read our latest news and information regarding Retro. Stay tuned for more updates in the following weeks!

Theres something more to this however. Heres a post on the thread about the devblog by Kevman.
It says that each of the message options should have a corresponding key according to the numbers, but there were 14 options in that menu. How would that work then, since there are only 10 numbers on either numpad?

Sorry we really didn't specify on that. Whoops!

We plan on restyling this menu just a little bit, nothing drastic. This menu was something that wasn't enabled but was in the game as a option (not sure why they didn't enabled it. Probably cause it wasn't totally done!)

Id love to take suggestions on how to make it a bit more easy to use in terms of ones with 10+. Since you obviously cannot do that on a keyboard!

Throwback Thrusday: Fusion Safari!

Anyone remember the Fusion Safari Event? It was an event where weird creatures would pop out of nowhere in Peach Creek Commons and some parts of The Wilds and attack players! The reward? Some really cool loot! Heres a video about the event.

FFR Mission Videos Update

Hey everyone!
Just coming back to let yall know that all of the FFR Tutorial missions have been uploaded and are ready to go! Now we just wait for FFR and The Future to release, which is most likely really soon.

FFB Test: Mission Videos!

Hey Everyone! Plants10000 here! And before we begin this amazing post i would like to tell yall HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Hope yall had fun eating :)

Anyways, this time i want to showcase one of our biggest plans for RETROs Release, and thats Mission videos! Whether it be a Guide mission, World mission or Nano Mission, there will be a video for all of them! Its one of my favorite things i have worked on in a while and i guarantee you all will love it!

1st i want to present the 2 formats we are gonna use, which are:

Quick Videos

and...

HD

Quick Videos are simply the mission sped up and with the more important parts. They are much more edited in the way that they even include music! I guarantee you will find some music from a popular FF youtuber in some of these ;)

Heres a video example of this format. In this case the mission is "Transmitter Critters" and the song is "Beethoven Virus".
HD videos is just the mission unedited, without music and/or sped up, with the original game sounds. These are the most simple type of the 2 as they only require recording.

Heres the video example using the same mission: Transmitter Critters.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whBPva9gpcQ

(Had to upload it to YT because the limit for Blogger is 100mb -.-)

We plan to do a Buttercup nano one soon, so stay tuned for that one!

FusionFall Videos: Thanksgiving Missions!

Heres a video showcasing the Thanksgiving event in FusionFall! Quite a fun event!

Item Showcase: Giant Turkey Leg

This weeks item is the greatest weapon in FusionFall: The Giant Turkey Leg!
Giant Turkey Leg

This great weapon for Level 10 players and above is quite easy to get. Being as Uncommon as us Turkeys, but its a great tool for both dishing out damage at close ranges, but also for eating! Eating it gives you a 10% boost on your survival! What a great weapon.

It was even featured in a few FusionFall commercials! It really is a very recognizable and fun weapon for everyone to use anytime of the year.

FusionFall RETRO Weekly Devblogs # 2: New Monster Drop system!

Hey everyone, welcome to our second weekly update post! This week, we’re talking monster drops.

Each time you kill a monster, you have the chance to receive a crate, which when opened gives you a corresponding item based on that crate’s rarity. Given the large amount of variables in crate types per level and the various items in the game, we worked to keep everything organized and fair.

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to retrieve the original game’s drop information. Instead, we’ve had to create our system with our own drop rates. The general idea remains the same: common items appear more frequently in common crates, while more valuable items appear in rarer crates.

The original game featured drops listed on a per mob basis. That means Fusion Spawns and Shocktanglers, both level 1 monsters, dropped different sets of items. On the other hand, Retro features a shared drop list per level. If you’re looking for an item of a certain level, chances are you can find that item off of any mob of the corresponding level.

We’ve had to devise our own formula for crate drop rarity, sticking very closely to the original game’s drop rates. Adjustments and fine-tuning to rates will be an ongoing process likely through initial release and beyond in order to ensure a fun and balanced item drop system.

Thanks for taking the time to read our latest news and information regarding Retro. Stay tuned for more updates in the following weeks!

The Weirdest Thanksgiving Event

Why hello there Young one. I see we may or may not have met before, but either way, let me introduce myself. My name is V.V Argost, and im the host of a TV Show called “Weird World”, where i go out to find and capture the weirdest creatures the world has to offer! As of this time we have captured over 11,498 weird creatures, and this one will be another for the collection. I have spotted a weird Turkey-like creature. It seems to have came from the undead! Following it around and capturing him i found out that he has a little buddy on his back that wont come off. After analysing them thru my scanner and X-ray goggles i found out they are both stucked with one bone (disgusting i know). Anyways heres what i managed to get out of the little guys mouth:

Hello! I need help finding my family members. They are all Turkeys! Can i be freed now? And can you help me?

You heard the turkey man. We must go and find these turkeys! But first... Can i keep one of your friends for my TV show?

Anything as long as i find them. TAKE MY CHILDREN.

The Turkey man has spoken! We need your help as well in finding them! Help us find them all! They like to hide so make sure you have a keen eye to spot them.

Maybe we can also save the Thanksgiving dinner. Im thinking of cooking my daughter this year!

Wait. You are all cannibals that eat each other?

Why yes we are! But only once a year for Thanksgiving. Keeps the family small.

(Seems like these weird Turkey creatures have something interesting about them...)

Throwback Thursday: Old FusionFall Gameplay

Did you know that FusionFall was once COMPLETELY Different? Like SUPER different to today and RETRO. Heres an old gameplay video about it. Just look at all the changes.

FusionFall 101: Nanos powers: Passive powers

Welcome back to FusionFall 101! Its been hella long time since one of these has been posted (last one was in December 2016), but now the series is back to teach ya the basics of FusionFall!

This time we are looking at Nano Powers! This time we are doing Passive powers.

What are Passive Nano powers?
Passive Nano powers simply are powers that dont require the press of a button to activate. They are activated when the nano is taken out and removed once its stored. Simple as that!

Passive Nano Powers
Antidote
Antidote: Protects you from Fusion Patch damage. You know those patches of green stripes that are found in Infected Zones? Well Antidote helps in taking 0 damage from them in exchange for your Nanos HP, which lowers for every hit absorbed.

Bonus
Bonus: Gives 20% more Taros for Missions and Enemies. Doesnt apply to Vendors or Trades. Useful for grinding Taros quickly whether via missions or grinding.

Freedom - Self
Freedom: Protects against Stun, Sleep and Snare. Comes in Group and Self variations. Group drains HP much quicker than Self, but will be helpful against fusions that have these abilities.

Guard
Guard: Protects you from enemies who can drain your Potions and Boosts. Probably the least useful of any Power as not many monsters have this ability, but can come in handy if you are gonna face alot of monsters with that ability.

Jump - Self
Jump: Allows you to jump twice as high while active. Comes in Self and Group variations, and will be helpful for climbing tall places or for Infected Zone races.

Radar
Radar: Allows the Nanocom to spot enemies around you. Another of the least useful as you may have the areas for these monsters memorized, and it doesnt even tell you what monster they are, but can come in useful SOMETIMES.

Run - Self
Run: Allows the player to move faster. Has Group and Self variations, and comes in handy for going fast to places when you dont have a vehicle or for Infected Zone races.

Scavenge
Scavenge: Gives you 20% more Fusion Matter for Enemies and Missions, but not for races. Overall one of the best powers to progress faster in the game as the extra FM will come in handy for faster leveling early on.

Sneak - Self
Sneak: Sneak is probably the most complex of all of these. It allows you to not be seen by enemies, and is dependant between the monster and player level. Comes in Group and Self variations.

Treasure Finder
Treasure Finder: Allows your Nanocom to see Coco eggs or any type nearby. Imo more useful than Radar as the eggs can give you temporary boosts or crates.

And those are all of the Passive powers! Next time we will look at Triggered powers!

Interview: Trick-Or-Treater gives his thoughts on Halloween 2017.
This week we decided to interview the main host of Halloween 2017: Trick-Or-Treater, just before he left to his home! Heres the full interview and the stuff we asked him.

Q1: Did you enjoy this years Halloween?
A1: Definitely. It was quite fun, and i got to meet a king from another place. It was fun managing this place for sometime, and had fun partying for the last week. Overall it was good.

Q2: How did The Great Pumpking got here?
A2: One day, while i was sleeping, the weird pumpkin guy came broke inside, breaking one of the windows and completely filling the floor with glass. He told me he was looking for more monsters, and identified one (me) inside here. He suddendly saw that you could communicate with people using the internet, thus giving his call to everyone. As a result, the dood just stayed, and we later became friends! Life is weird.

Q3: Is that suit stuck to you or can it be removed?
A3: Its stuck. Can never take it off. Got stuck with super glue one day, and ive been known as Trick-Or-Treater ever since then.

Q4: How many licks does it take to the center of a Tootsie Pop?
A4: Why is this question here?! We answered this on a poll one week last month. Nobody knows my friend, but heres a tip: JUST CHOMP AT IT. DONT LICK.

Q5: Why is water wet?
A5: Why do you ask me this?

Q6: Will you return next year?
A6: Definitely! Cant guarantee it will be as early as last time but i will return.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Character Profile: Courage
Courage
Courage is a pink dog who is constantly frightened, despite his name. He was adopted by a married couple, Muriel and Eustace Bagge, when they found him abandoned in the middle of Nowhere as a puppy when his parents were sent to space by a mad scientist. While Muriel loves him, Eustace calls him "Stupid Dog" and frightens him for his own amusement. However, he will protect his owners (mainly Muriel and even Eustace in some instances) with his life.

In FusionFall, Courage constantly sends E-mails to Gwen Tennyson about alien activity and totems in Nowhere. Courage acts as a mission handler for players following Edd as a guide.

During the Planetoid Fusion crisis, Courage (with the help of the Hero) is ultimately the one that destroys the planetoid by reversing the polarities of a UFO magnet found in Nowhere which was pulling the planetoid to Earth. With the polarities reversed, the Planetoid Fusion was crushed by its own force and was succesfully destroyed before it reached Earth. It is hinted that at least Muriel is hiding in the farmhouse, as Courage had the player retrieve her slippers from monsters as a Guide Mission from Edd ("Slippery Foes").

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tip Corner: Changing guides

Subject: You can change your Guide any time you like!

Tired of working for Mojo? Are you and Edd just not Guide/Guidee compatible?

There are four possible Guides to choose from when you travel back through time (Dexter, Mojo, Edd or Ben), and you can change your Guide at any time! Changing to a new Guide gives you:

1. New gear unique to that Guide

2. New Guide Missions

3. New character interactions

There are a couple of drawbacks to consider, however. Every time you change your Guide, it costs you Fusion Matter. If you change Guides often, the cost increases. You also can't use any item rewards you earned with any previous Guides. So if you love, love, LOVE your Morbucks armor, you should stick with Mojo Jojo! To change your Guide, check in with a Guide or look for Guide Changer Stations in major areas like the Cul-de-Sac or City Station.

So this is a thing! A really neat thing :)

This game was created by... Some guy i cant find his name! If someone can find me his name to credit him, that would be great. Anyways, this game is a bejeweled clone, but with FusionFall characters! Its really neat and i loved it!

The goal is to get as many points as possible by making matches of 3 of the same gem. Its a simple game and i love it!
