However, CNs forums didnt allow some things, and while this is acceptable and does apply to the thing we are talking about today, it still kinda sucked, so one day, some players decided to take it upon themselves and created a Forum for all to chat and discuss about one thing and one thing only: FusionFall.
The site was unique at the time, as there werent that many forums or really any sites that talked about FusionFall. It was a place where you could create an account and chat with other FusionFall players. It had a section for discussion, for trades, for groups, guilds and fan-art.
It was created by XLR8 147, who was a FusionFall player, with 2 other people: Undelos and Oliver Zombieweasel, who would become the sites admins. Undelos was just another regular FusionFall Player, and Oliver made a fusionfall website called "FusionFall Hints n Tips", which funnily enough was the inspiration for this blog that you are reading, right now. I think we have come full circle.
The forums had its own website, made with the website engine Yola. When coming there you just get such a nostalgic 2009-2010 feel that it makes me happy.
It had quite a bit for a rather badly designed website. It has a picture gallery, video gallery, games, a no longer fuctioning chat, a link to the forums, a list of players and links, and a comment section.
Something that might surprise you is one of the pictures around the main page. If you scroll down a little bit, you will find this picture. Do you recognize anyone here?
We do have XLR8 and Oliver here, but in between them we have none other than dex7322, the later-to-be creator of FusionFall Legacy, and FusionFall Mod HQ member, who was an Xtreme Affiliate, which made sense, considering FusionFall Mod HQ was also affiliated with them.
Who knew that one of the creators of the biggest FusionFall revivals was just an affiliate and admin of a Fan Forum for FusionFall, and website dedicated to it as well.
Xtreme FusionFall today
Today, Xtreme FusionFall sees little to no activity. Some of the main posters like Oliver and others still post on it, but theres practically no activity till Retro or Legacy are released.
The website still remains, and you can check it out by simply looking for "Xtreme FusionFall" on Google.
So that concludes our little spotlight for today. This will be a weekly series from now on, showcasing a popular or once popular website or person from FusionFall, and tell its history and current whereabouts. I hope you liked this 1st one!
