The FusionFall Blog 2017 Yearbook!

2017. What a crazy year. Filled with its own ups and downs. Time to look back at the year and see all the cool and not so cool stuff!
January

POTD Season 2 began! With it we got a new host who presented all of the images to us. The FusionFall Wiki got a major redesign. The FusionFall Blog reached 6,500 views and, most importantly, FusionFall reached its 8th b-day!

February

The FusionFall Legacy Community Design Challenge began! Users were tasked with creating costume, clothing or item ideas and submit them. The best ones were picked by the developers and are going to be added to Legacy.

We also got a new Legacy devblog! It was a remake of the old Townsville Zoo Devblog before The Split happened, but it contained most of the same info. Nevertheless it was really cool seeing a new area talked about in-depth in the devblog.

March
Not much other than POTDs happened here, but we did release the now defunct PvZ Heroes Central. Other than that Legacy and RETRO didnt have much news aside from POTDs.

April

We began the month with a new devblog! Hosted by Double D, he talked about the Ed trio and the various changes and additions they got.
RETRO also got a devblog talking about its on-development features and how it will launch. I also got one of the best things to motivate me in continuing the blog: A private message by dex7322.


May
A new FFR Devblog was released talking about the client and how we will use it, and the now defunct UB Funkeys Central blog was also released. POTD also stopped for development reasons.

June
POTDs returned! Aside from that there wasnt much in the development side, but the blog did began Summer Fest 2017 and we reached 10,000 views during the month!


July
WE GOT A RETRO RELEASE DATE! The release date was August 1st. We began covering The Chromatic Conquest, an event hosted by EmperorEctoshock from the FFU Forums, where there are 6 teams and you can conquer areas of the game. The event is currently on hold until RETRO is released.


August
RETRO didnt release FULLY on August 1st, however a short demo of the Tutorial, titled Early Access, was released. POTD ended its 2nd Season this month as well. The reason for the RETRO delay was because of Database problems, which meant that Characters wouldnt save.


September
We got a new set of POTDs! Called Season 3, the host was hidden for some time, but after a while it was revealed that Chris Mclean from TD was the host! Until the FFL team got a Cease and Desist that said they couldnt use Chris or the TD IP for Legacy. As a result of this the POTDs were removed and as of now theres no Season 3 POTDs. October
Spooky time! Trick-Or-Treater took over the blog alongside The Great Pumpking for the month! Viewers had to find candy around the blog. On the FFR side we got an October update talking more about the Database and how features are implemented.

November

A Knight took over the blog for a bit to find some help to return to his kingdom, afterwards it was Renovation time! The blog renovated itself to include alot of new stuff! We also began getting Weekly updates from the RETRO devs, and got to find Turkeys with V.V Argost and Turkey Rider! Overall a fun month after the stuff from the past 3 months.

December
Hohoho! We got the 12 Days of Knishmas event, where we got a new surprise or gift everyday till the 27th, which was hosted by Regifting Zombie. Afterwards we made a big New Years Party! However, Net Neutrality got repealed by the FCC, but its currently going thru Court. Aside from that we got more RETRO weekly devblogs!

Hey everyone! Plants10000 here! For Christmas this year i decided to make you all a special TF2 HUD! This will replace the original TF2 HUD and make it more Holiday styled for Christmas. To get it, simply click the link below and then do the following:

1- Extract the files

2- Go to your Steam folder, then steamapps, then common, then Team Fortress 2, then tf and finally into your custom folder. If you dont have one then make one.

3- Place the files in that custom folder.

Hello! Welcome to our seventh update! This week's update will be a bit smaller than usual because we have been focusing on development efforts, so apologies for that! In this week's update we are going to go into detail about our future plans going forward after our weekly updates.

Eventually, instead of weekly updates, we will transition into monthly updates, and in some cases weekly updates. This will provide a slew of new content for that month. This details events that we may be doing, new items and sets that we may be releasing, possibly new versions of the game that include the future, and an included change log documenting any sort of game changes that we may have made during that month. We will also be including a community section to our blog posts. This will allow you guys to show off your creative side! This can either be a video, drawing or anything that shows you’re a fan of FusionFall!


To provide a little sneak peek of an upcoming item we will be including on our first monthly post, we will be giving everyone the mission cap hat for a limited time! This hat was unavailable through normal gameplay, so stay tuned for information on how to get this exclusive hat!

This is an old photo of Runty, a Fusion Spawn once owned by Billy, now found by us. The little dude just grunts and grunts all day, but doesnt actually hurt us. We dont know how he was created, since around here there are no Terrafusers to be found, but maybe it just escaped from a far away land where Terrafusers are found. Nonetheless we are keeping him for now and are feeding him milk and cookies.

 This is a sad, in pain Three-Nut that was mutated with Fusion Matter! We received it in the mail today, and it said "Kill me. Please". Obviously me nor anyone here wants him dead. It looks alright after all! We are gonna try to find a cure for it soon however.

Could Nano Potions work? Maybe more Fusion Matter? Maybe some Chocolate Swords? Whatever it can cure it is helpful for the poor thing!

FFR Weekly Devblogs: Escort Missions!

Hello! Welcome to our sixth update! This week we will be going into detail about our newest feature: escort missions.

This type of mission involves walking or “escorting” characters to a destination while defending them from monsters. There are only a few of these missions in the game, such as Eduardo and Billy’s Nano Missions.

The character you are escorting has the ability to attack monsters, but they will mainly rely on you to protect them until they reach their destination, as they can not do much damage to defend themselves. They also can't defend themselves from special attacks some monsters can perform.



The characters don’t follow you, though; instead, they follow a set path, and continue to follow the path until they are attacked by a monster. If the character you are escorting is defeated by a monster, you will have to restart the mission starting at the fusion lair warp.

Monster Bios: Ball-Peen Meanie

These are the Ball-Peen Meanies! These monsters are made from hammers, which can do serious damage to citizens just walking around. They also have short temper, so dont make them angry!

Its equipped with a Corruption Attack, which will severely hurt the player if they dont have a Nano, or the Nano itself. To combat this, quickly switch between Nanos before the attack is executed. Use the sound and wind-up it makes to know when to switch.

To fight them normally, use any ranged weapon, preferably Shatterguns as it is seen in groups of 3, sometimes with its boss version, the Ball-Peen Slayer. Bring a Health Nano to heal yourself if you get overwhelmed.

Hohoho! Merry early Christmas everyone! I am Regifting Zombie, and i will be the host of this years 12 Days of Knishmas. In the meanwhile Plants10000 will be managing the Twitter account for the blog, while i will manage the blog itself! Im planning a new surprise and gift everyday till December 28th, and will try to get this place to its old glory before the Net Neutrality operation (which by the way dont worry, it needs to go thru court before it actually becomes a thing), but thats a story for another day.

Operation: Code RED

Listen up everyone. This one is really important so pay atention.
The FCC is planning to KILL OFF Net Neutrality, which is simply that everyone and anyone can use the internet freely without having to pay money or have special benefits. Basically alot of the large companies of the world want to kill off Net Neutrality and establish pay walls and internet packs, which means you will HAVE TO pay for even the simplest of internet tasks, like watching Youtube.

Net Neutrality is important not just for me, but for you and everyone that uses the internet. On December 14th a vote will be held on court to decide whether to kill or to keep Net Neutrality. As of now everything is fine, but if the FCC succesfully kills Net Neutrality you will have to pay alot more to access websites, including our blog, which of course we dont and never want, intentionally or not.

Today, a Bill was introduced to the congress just for Saving Net Neutrality. Not only is this our biggest chance at stopping the FCCs plans of killing Net Neutrality, but also to get our voice heard even more. Go and read it and send your reply to congress so we can win this battle.

Also, contact your Reps to tell them to support the bill. Alternatively or as another way to help out, go ahead and put or spread #SaveNetNeutrality.

This whole thing is the whole internet versus big corporations. We have won alot of these (just take a look at the Star Wars Battlefront II scandal), and this might just be the most important yet.

Im sure i and many others dont want to pay extra to visit our favorite websites, so please, try to do anything, even the smallest of things, to save Net Neutrality, as without it the internet wouldnt be the same anymore.

FFR Weekly Devblogs: Graphical Changes!

Hello! Welcome to our fifth weekly update. This week’s update is about the graphical improvements we have made to the game that gives back it’s original colorful atmosphere.

These graphical improvements are intended to make the game look how it did before DexLabs Upgrade I. DexLabs Upgrade I introduced a host of new features, including vehicles, but also included graphical changes that made the game look a bit more washed out and lose its color. We thought this better represented the game and original intention of the appearance of the world. Here are some photos comparing how it looked before and how it looks after the update.

This update can be a bit jarring, but we’re hoping everyone can appreciate the effort that went into reverting the colors of the world to a more colorful state. Thanks for keeping up with us on updates. Stay tuned for more exciting updates in the following weeks!

This change is amazing. I loved the old design and graphics and seeing them back in RETRO feels me with joy. Im wondering tho: Why did the devs do that change? Was it a creative choice? Bug? Whatever it is its nice to have this old and better one back.
