Dex just released this statement about FusionFall Legacys Demo Release
I'm going to just get this out of the way right here on the forums'
General Discussion board rather than a formal announcement for you,
folks. Maybe this will show you that I'm trying to seriously initiate a
meaningful connection with you on behalf of the entire team.
It's
only fair in my humble opinion that you all know how the devs' latest
private discussions and progress affect the time of which the upcoming
DEMO is released, and while I'm at it, I may as well give my personal
thoughts and input based upon what I've seen both as a developer and
chief administrator of the community.
I'm sorry to inform you all
that due to substantial changes on our end, whether it involves
reconstruction of the game's elements or our busy lives, we are
basically at a point where we can't even pinpoint a decent window of
which we decide to release the game. With this being said, I'm going to
basically confirm right now, once and for all, that there is NO ESTIMATED WINDOW OR SOLIDIFIED DATE at this time. It's completely up in the air.
Please note that NO WHERE above did I say that development has slowed down. It hasn't. Believe me. IT HASN'T.
In fact, I'll have you all know that I was away from working closer
with the team for about a week and a half due to health issues. (Don't
worry and don't ask. I'm fine now.) As soon as I saw what had been
brewing since my leave, I'd been blown away by how much things have
graphically been improved, as you all recently got a little taste of
information in regards to this from Dogon's dev blog post.
It
is because we keep running into and fully implementing these fantastic
new methods of building a better game for you all that we keep
readjusting our estimated release window. The team is REALLY
trucking along with making a game that will hopefully exceed your
expectations as players who have been waiting patiently over the course
of two years to reenter the Cartoon Network Universe. We're striving to
make things better because we feel as though sacrificing the time is
worth it. This is certainly not to say we don't care about you guys. We get it. You've been waiting a long time for FusionFall to come back,
but this is seriously a case in which we feel the time you're waiting
out right now for us to further improve things will pay off. Yes. For
real.
Estimating and then announcing a September 2015 release was a mistake on our part,
and we sincerely apologize for this. However, we notice that there is
still a lot of 'talk' going around the world wide web of how we
supposedly 'promised' that it'd be released early October, and people
are issuing lots of complaints via Facebook, Twitter, our help center
and our e-mail inboxes because the DEMO still hadn't arrived in early
October. Newsflash: We didn't say that the DEMO would arrive within this
window for certain. Wiltilt, the one who's leading this massive
project, briefly explained the circumstances in a FusionFall Legacy news
update via our YouTube channel. It's important to note that we only
created, and he only mentioned, an estimated release window for early October. It was NOT solidified.
Holding
things behind lock and key is not fun for us to do, friends. We want
you to play the game when it arrives. We want you to be able to revisit
your favorite world after so much waiting. We can't wait to show you the
brand new Legacy-exclusive 'stuff' that will be arriving down the road,
but you must understand that if we try to rush this any more than what
we already are, our goals to impress you will not stand a remote chance
of succeeding. The last thing we want is to have something break or
simpler things be less-than-impressive when we open the first public
DEMO build. We saw you guys' reactions to the character selection menu
being released early on various YouTube channels. We're looking to at
the very least triple the intensity with what we set in front of you
next.
And in case there are some of you out there that still
continue to believe that FusionFall Legacy is 'not real'... Well, I feel
bad for you. I'll just leave it at that. We're working way too hard for
this whole thing to be an April Fool's joke. Yeah, I know we left some
of you disappointed back in the Spring, but it's just how we roll on
April Fool's day. Just wait til next year.
All-in-all, I am
ultimately hoping that this will clear up any more significant confusion
out there. I'm hoping that you'll all continue to stick out the wait
for what's coming, accept our sincere apologies, and understand why this
is all happening the way that it is right now. We're truthfully very
appreciative of the support we get every day and we will do everything
in our power to make your jaws drop as soon as possible after pressing
"LAUNCH GAME" the day the DEMO releases.
Feel free to share your thoughts in replying to this, and spread this information to your fellow heroes.
Regards,
Jake Durr
Im fine with it being released much later,as long as it comes out very well, ill be good.Besides,do we really want this to be Sonic 06?
