Should FusionFall RETRO be separate updates or a full release?

Now, by this i mean if it should release all of the areas of the game (the full game) at once, or if just starting with The Future is better. While this 2nd plan is the one the team is going, i thought it would be interesting to see the Pros and Cons of each. Lets get started!


With the current plan, which is to start out with the future and slowly release the full game, it has quite a few benefits. Faster updates, something to play much earlier, and a small but good enough world to sustain while the past gets released.

On the downsides, we dont have the full game available right from the start, and a few game features are missing too. It may also take a while to get the full game (as in all of the past released).

With the other plan, which is releasing all of the game at once, theres a few upsides too. All of the game is released, and we have all of it to play through. All OG features will be there too.

Downsides are that it will take FAR longer to release, and that it may be a little buggy too, since that there may need to be a lot of patches to fix said problems, while the main plan can slowly but surely release and fix those problems.

In my opinion, RETROs current plan is far better than its older one. It will take sometime to play the full game, but atleast we will have something to play rather than nothing.
