Music Mondays #2: Smooth Theme!
Music Monday with Panman14
Welcome to Music Mondays! Today, composer Panman14 talks about what went into crafting a brand new music track!Nothing gets me going like a good sounding Tenor Saxophone! For this Music Monday, I’m coming at you with Jackie’s Song. (You may remember this from the FusionFall Lore video on Boomer and Jackie Khones by Przzy, as well as from the Zoo Crew Devblog.)
Jackie’s Song is a slow variation of a song from the Foster's episode, "Jackie Khones and the Case of the Overdue Library Crook".
It was designed to fit one of the primary Nano missions, as the player wanders around an instanced version of the Townsville Zoo looking for clues. Of course, this doesn’t really fit the normal style of FusionFall, so I didn’t want to release it. However, I was promised two sandwiches daily (plus chips of course).
Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends has lots of fun, quirky music. Something tells me I’ll have to try hard with Summerland! For now…
You can take a listen to the new song here!

FusionFall Bios: Morbucks Savings and Loan bank.
If players have too many items in their packs, they can always store some of them in a Morbucks Savings and Loan bank vault! Everyone has one, and It’s one of the great benefits of being a hero! To use the Bank, players have to find a Banker to get to their vaults.
Locations
Bankers
The Morbucks Savings and Loans have several headquarters in the world. Once players locate a banker, they should talk to the banker and select the bank icon. The bank window will pop up. The player must click on the items to be moved between the bank vault and the player's pack. This will open an item screen that lets the player switch between the bank and the pack. Players can also click and drag items between their particular vault and pack.As of 5.19.10, the bank may now hold a maximum capacity of 200 items.
Bankers can only be found once the player returns to the past. During adventures in the future, players will have to carry all their own items during the first part of their adventures.

FusionFall Bios: Monkey Skyway Agents
Monkey Skyway Agents are a form of transportation that flies players to various stops throughout the world for a fee. The Monkey Skyway system was created by Mojo Jojo and operations are carried out by his Monkey Minions equipped with jetpacks.
The fees are generally cheaper than that of the KND S.C.A.M.P.E.R. This system is slower than the S.C.A.M.P.E.R., inasmuch as Monkey Skyway Agents give a visual view of the path. It is currently the most commonly found type of Transport Hub. The largest Transport Hubs of this type are at Peach Creek Commons, City Station, and Mount Blackhead.
The Skyway is designed for shorter hops between neighborhoods within a region. There are a number of Monkey Skyway stations in each region, but they do not connect across regional boundaries. An exception is the crossing between Foster's Home and Camp Kidney. They are in the beginning of the Fusionfall manga comic with Mojo Jojo.

FusionFall Bios: The Slider
What is the Slider?
The Slider, also called the Bus and Downtown Bus, is a transportation service provided by DexLabs that loops along The Suburbs and Downtown. One end is located in Peach Creek Estates and the other in Marquee Row, with smaller stops along the route. On the map, the busway can be identified as two thick, scarlet lines that run parallel to each other. It is very long.Slider Stations
- Peach Creek Estates
- Peach Creek Commons
- Pokey Oaks North
- Pokey Oaks South
- Genius Grove
- Eternal Vistas
- Endsville
- City Point
- City Station
- Marquee Row
How do I get on the Slider?
Look out for neon signs in the air emblazoned with the word Bus. Arrows will indicate the direction the Slider is traveling in. There will usually be a series of jump pads or moving platforms on either side of the busway. Use them to bring you up to the station. The Slider comes around every minute. It will slow down briefly as it approaches the station, so hop on quickly using the jump pad on the station.
When will I know I reached my destination?
Easy, just look at the bottom of your compass and it will say where you are.You can alight anytime by moving off the Slider, but you will not be able to board it again and you may land into a potentially dangerous area.
Is it free?
Yes, it is free! Aside from walking on foot and certain Nano abilities, it is the only free method of rapid travel, although it only runs through The Suburbs and Downtown.2000 Views!
I dont believe we reached 2000 views/visits?! Am i dreaming? Probably not :P

My 1st "Interview"! The creator of the average CRATE program: Finn_Hornhoover!
So i asked him a few questions on his thread, which you can check by clicking right here, and he responded! :D
His answer:
"You're welcome. It's a Java program written by me
I imagined someone would need a "worst case scenario calculator" as to
how many CRATEs they need for a certain item, for items that the person
has an approximation of odds. For example, you could guess that your
favourite item at least has 6% chance of coming out of a Gold CRATE. But
odds really don't mean anything, what you need to know is how many
CRATEs other people needed, for the same item. And this program gives
you an average.
How did you made it? What Program did you use? What are the best ways to use it? Why did you make it? |

Eventually, someone could create a CRATE result
counting system where people would enter their CRATE results, and this
would eventually give you a good approximation of probability for all
items in FusionFall. Then my program would tell them how many CRATEs
they need to get, before they can be frustrated at their luck, with good
accuracy "
Im so happy he responded :)
Hopefully he gets more programs and guides for everyone to enjoy. Good Luck dude ;)

Statistics from Don Doom and Bad Max
Remember Finn_Hornhoover? The person who made the CRATE Averages program? Well before that he made this! A statistical analisis on how many CRATES are needed from Don Doom and Bad Max to get any desired item from these baddies. Here the thread!
A couple days ago I posted a thread listing all the Don Doom and Bad Max drops. You can find that here!
I wrote a C program to calculate an average "number of CRATEs that need to be opened to get everything in a wishlist". The number depends on:
How many of these items you need (labeled "Both"): {Super Slayer Shirt, Super Slayer Pants, Super Slayer Boots, Super Slayer Slasher}
How many of these items you need (labeled "Don Doom"): {Don Doom Chemgun, Don Doom Shirt, Don Doom Pants, Don Doom Boots, Don Doom Scouter, Master Spiral Spreader, Master Toxic Mask}
How many of these items you need (labeled "Bad Max"): {Bad Max Concussor, Bad Max Helmet, Bad Max Jacket, Bad Max Pants, Bad Max Boots, Master Screwdriver Blade, Master Hammerhead Hat}
If you want to continue checking manually, add those numbers seperately.
For example, let's say I want Super Slayer Shirt, Super Slayer Pants, Super Slayer Boots, Bad Max Concussor and Don Doom Scouter.
If I add those up, I get:
3 items from the "Both" category,
1 item from the "Don Doom" category, and
1 item from the "Bad Max" category.
Now check out how many CRATEs you need to open on average, to get all those items below.
For our example, the average number of CRATEs that I need to open is 30.09.
Now for your list:
1-) The drop list I posted is %100 accurate (Which it may not be).
2-) Each item has an equal chance of being dropped from their monster, which is 1/11 for both monsters.
3-) The player will keep grinding both monsters, until or if the player's wishlist only contains boss-specific items.
That is, they'll switch to killing one boss, if they got everything they want, except the non-shared drops that they want from that boss.
Conclusions:
1-) If you need only one item from the any category, you're in better shape than anyone else. Pretty much all categories have the same expected CRATE number of ~11.
2-) About 58 CRATEs are all you need to get all Don Doom & Bad Max drops, on average.
3-) There's little to no difference between a person who wants all the Doom & Max items and a person who wants all the Doom & Max items except Super Slayer Set. By the time you get all the other items, you will probably have the Super Slayer Set anyway.
So, there you have it. I'd love to share the technical details of this little experiment, but it exceeds the maximum post size if I do that. I might make another thread (or maybe just post it here) if requested, that includes technical details.
P.S. I had nothing better to do, and it was a fun little coding excercise. I'm not a pro at it lol
Welcome to the (possibly) first statistical finds thread of FusionFall!

You don't have to read below if you're not interested in how I got to these results!
Assumptions:1-) The drop list I posted is %100 accurate (Which it may not be).
FusionFall C.R.A.T.E Program! Created by Finn_Hornhoover
Well then...
This is a neat program which lets you calculate lots of porcentages about the CRATES in FF. Its quite helpful!
"This program tells you how many C.R.A.T.E.s of a certain type you need, on average; given that you know or you can guess the probability of that item coming out of a certain C.R.A.T.E. type."
Usage
"I hope you guys find this program useful when Retro launches. Happy grinding!" Finn_Hornhoover. A forum member (Not even a dev or game master, which suprises me. Good job dude!)

Usage
- In the first 4 slots, write the odds of you, getting that item from the specified C.R.A.T.E. type. You don't have to fill everything.
- 100% means a certainty, while a 0.000...% chance means impossibility.
- Make sure you use dots "." instead of commas "," when entering the fractional part of the probability.
- The program ignores the fractional part beyond 3 digits after the decimal point. Keep that in mind as you're using the program.
- Hit "Calculate!" when you're ready, and to clear everything press "Clear".
