Welcome to FusionFall 101! Today we will be learning about the 4 guides in FusionFall! Lets get started.
1- What are Guides?
Guides are CN characters that give you missions to complete, but these give out special items which are exclusive to that Guide. You can choose a guide after you reach level 4 and ready to go to the past. You have 4 options: Dexter, Edd, Mojo Jojo and Ben 10.
2- What if i want to change Guides?
While in the Future you cant change guides, you can do this in the Past. It only costs a small fee to change guides, but all of the items you obtained will not be usable until you change back to the Guide you had before. Keep in mind that your 1st choice in the future is free.
While theres not much to Guides. They can also serve to grind FM (Fusion Matter) and to obtain their exclusive item sets. Check all the guides out today!

FusionFall Facts #1: Texture Changes!
Did you knew that the skybox texture changed its color in the massive update of February 2011? It was a very, VERY small change, but there was another one BEFORE this one.
The 1st design of the skybox was used from open beta to early 2009. It used a darker sky for areas like the darklands, and a dark green design for the Future and some of the past areas (Like Mt. Blackhead). As you can see other textures are different compared to the RETRO version.
The 2nd design finalized the RETRO design. It now has a lighter skybox and much better textures for everything else. It was used from early 2009 ALL THE WAY to the Academy Update of February 2011. It featured more lighter skies and some of them were even changed completely! Other textures were also changed and were made of higher quality.
The final design was used from the Academy Update all the way to the shut down of the game. It featured much lighter skies and all the new textures look MUCH better compared to the old ones. Most things are the same however.

FusionFall Bios: Mandark (Dexters Laboratory)
Mandark is a rival to Dexter in Dexter's Laboratory. His goal is to humiliate Dexter and destroy his laboratory. He also has a huge crush on Dexter's sister, Dee Dee, who despises him.
In FusionFall, Mandark runs Mandark Industries, a rival firm of Dexlabs.
In the manga, Mandark confronts an infiltration team consisting of Numbuh 5, Mac, Bloo, and Dee Dee. The group demands his Pase-Pulse-O-Tron needed to complete the Electro-Pulse Cannon. Though initially defiant, his infatuation with Dee Dee led him to easily and willingly hand it over on the condition that he came along. Together with a reluctant Dexter, they program the EPC to disable the biggest of the first three Terrafusers that landed on Earth. However, Mandark's love for Dee Dee also distracted him, leading to a fatal error that prevented the cannon from launching at a crucial moment.
In the Future, he could be found by the Infected Zone in Peach Creek Estates. He helps the player rebuild Dexter's time machine so he/she can return the Past.
In the Past, Mandark can be found in front of his company building in Tech Square. He no longer uses his old lab now that his old house in Genius Grove has fallen victim to the Fusion invasion and has been turned into an Infected Zone. Though he is against Fuse's invasion, his rivalry with Dexter often leads him to undermine his nemesis' attempts to turn the tides of the war to gain glory for himself.
Mandark's love of Dee Dee also caused him to be manipulated by her evil doppelganger, Fusion Dee Dee, making him steal Dexter's wrench (which Fuse uses to make a Fusion Dexter). Through the efforts of the original Dee Dee, and her Imaginary Friend, Koosy, Fusion Dee Dee was defeated and Mandark realized his mistake.
Aside from Dexter, Mandark doesn't get along very well with Mojo Jojo or Vilgax, as he believes that both of them are trying to steal his company's secrets. Fusion Ben was able to exploit this fact in order to cause the three to come together in a battle royal in the Skypad Space Port Infected Zone. Fortunately, the battle was quelled thanks to the original Ben and the three villains returned to being bitter enemies.
During the mission to face Fusion Mandark for the Mandark Nano, Fusion Mandark took control of some of his Mandroids and sent them to attack the player in his lair. The player successfully destroys all of them, though not without upsetting Mandark, and defeats the Fusion.
When Planetoid Fusion broke off from Planet Fusion and headed for Earth, Dexter asked Mandark for a part for an Ion cannon he was building to shoot the planetoid down. What Dexter didn't know was that Mandark had sabotaged the part to render the Ion cannon useless, leaving his new weapon in the Really Twisted Forest alone to defend the Earth. Using a missile array borrowed from Vilgax, Mandark fine-tuned his weapon for its mission. Ironically, Vilgax had tampered with both Dexter's and Mandark's cannons so that they would hit Planet Fusion instead of it's planetoid. The planetoid itself was destroyed by Courage when he reversed the polarities on a UFO magnet in Nowhere that tore the planetoid from its foundation, thus crushing it and leaving Mandark humiliated.
To further exploit Fuse's weakness to Imaginary Energy, Mandark has enlisted Bloo and Mac to participate in a study that requires the best Kid/Imaginary Friend pair there is. He is currently building a research center called the Imaginasium near Foster's Home to initiate the research project. The construction is being overseen by Frankie, who constantly gets into quarrels with Mandark Industries Representatives, and even Mandark himself, about the structure's display.
Among all the characters from Dexter's Laboratory, Mandark is the only one being mocked as the designers say that he's still hasn't matured since his wardrobe hasn't updated.

FusionFall 101: Nanos! Part 1: How to obtain, What are they, and more.
Nanos! Theyre the main feature in the FusionFall series! And today we are learning all about them in 2 different parts! Lets begin with the main concept: Nanos: What are they?
1- What are Nanos?
Nanos are the main feature of FusionFall. They were created by Dexter to combat Fuse´s army and help out the player in their quest. Nanos have special abilities which can aid in damage, healing, tracking enemies and rewards, giving bonuses and platforming.
2- How do you obtain Nanos?
Nanos are obtained by getting enough FusionMatter from enemies for each level. While how much FM is required for each level is currently unknown, it is known that you will require a bunch of it! FM can be obtained from monsters, doing missions (See guide #1) and races! You need this to progress thru the game.
3- How many Nanos are there currently?
In FusionFall RETRO, theres a total of 36 nanos to collect! In the Academy version of the game, a whoping 56! And theres alot more to come in FusionFall Legacy as well!
4- What are the power types?
There are 2 types of powers: Manual and Passive. Passive powers are activated as soon as the nano is summoned, while manual powers are activated when the player says so.
5- What are Gumballs?
Gumballs are used to boost the nanos power, but only for a period of time. They can be obtained from C.R.A.T.E.S, but we will talk about C.R.A.T.E.S in a later guide.
6- What are the Nano Types?
There are 3 Nano types: Adaptium, Cosmix and Blastons. We covered everything about what these types do in guide #3, so check that for more details.
7- Why does my Nano return to my Nanocom after some time?
Thats because it has ran out of Stamina! Every single nano has Stamina. Passive powers drain Stamina overtime, while Manual powers drain quite a lot of Stamina when used. To recover its Stamina, you need to use Potions.
8- What are Potions?
Potions are used to recover a nanos Stamina. The amount of Potions used to recover the Stamina is dependant on how much Stamina that Nano has lost. Potions can only be obtained in the Past, but not in the Future.
Thats all for today! Next part we are going to discuss Nano Powers and nano usage! See you all next time!

FusionFall 101: A,B,C Types!
Did you knew that the colors for Nanos and Monsters represent a type and play a mayor role in combat? There are 3 types of FM: A,B and C, or Adaptium, Blastons, and Cosmix! Lets see what are these types and how they affect combat.
1- What do these types do?
These Nano and Monster Types affect combat in quite a big way. Each nano and monster has a type, and when you use a nano of a type, say Cosmix, against a Adaptium Monster, you will do more damage! This also affects Corruption attacks, but we will cover this in another guide.
2- How does this affect gameplay?
You should always try using a Nano that beats the monster type you are fighting. The monster's type is shown on the monster indicator on the top of your screen, while the Nano's type is shown on the NanoCom on the lower-right of your screen. You will also see an icon next to the monster that will tell you if your active Nano is the is the best type of Nano for defeating that monster. If you see a green check-mark, you will get a bonus against that monster; if you see an equal sign, neither you nor the monster will get a bonus; and if you see a red x, the monster will get a bonus against you.
3- Should you use an A,B,C Nano combination or something else?
This is really dependant on your playstyle. Its recommended to have an A,B & C Nano combination so you always do bonus damage. You can also use something like Leech, Damage and Heal to do bunch of damage and heal, but we will also cover Nano combinations and useful combos in another guide. Overall, its recommended to use 1 of every type so you always get extra damage and always have a counter to corruption attacks.
I hope this guide helped you out! See you all next time!

FusionFall Bios: Bravo Beach
An area based off of Johnny Bravo. About 1/3 of the area is made up of the beach. There are not many NPCs located here, but you can find a Monkey Minion near the northern house along the road and Candy Pirates that are stationed here to keep an eye out for the reinforcements they have requested for. At the south east corner, you will find Thromnambular V.
In the middle of the beach stands a giant Sand Castle which has become an Infected Zone. When Mojo Jojo gave some Fusion Bananas to some of his Monkey Minions, it caused them to run away to the Sand Castle to Fusion Mojo Jojo's lair, eventually becoming Fusion monsters. Fusion Mandy, who has been trying to convince Grim to help Fuse, is hiding at the back of the castle. While on a mission from Billy to get some Fusion Matter for Runty's living space, Grim tells you to go dump the Fusion Matter at the Sand Castle. He uses it as an excuse to "accidentally" reveal the location of Fusion Mandy's Secret Lair.
On the south part of the beach, brand-new NPCs have been added: a male Candy pirate called Sugarnose looking for help and keeping an constant eye on Fuse`s minions from the beach, and Plumbers who seem to have a vacation (judging by the fact they are relaxing, not patrolling or fighting). Cootie can be found on the edges of the beach.

FusionFall Bios: Buttercup (The PowerPuff Girls)
Buttercup is one of the three Powerpuff Girls, whose sisters are Blossom and Bubbles. Unlike Blossom or Bubbles, Buttercup loves to fight and is considered a tomboy. Despite typically being considered the tough girl, she is capable of showing love toward both her sisters and Professor Utonium.
In FusionFall, Buttercup originally appeared in The Future as one of the few remaining heroes, with Samurai Jack, Dexter, Numbuh Two, and Numbuh Five, to have survived the battle in Tech Square to give the player missions. None of the other characters appeared in the Future, revealing that Buttercup was the only survivor of her sisters. She seems to have completely recovered from her memory loss, but oddly doesn't mention Ace at all. She does, however, mention that she had lost her memory and joined a band, but has now recovered. She was also the first Nano as well as the first Blastons Nano that the player created, until the introduction of the Academy.
She originally could be found in front of the Mall in Pokey Oaks North near Numbuh Five in The Future. Returning to the past, Professor Utonium mentions Buttercup had a battle with Mojo Jojo over the ocean and was said to have never been seen again.
She can be found in the Downtown section if the player performs the first part of the Music and Mayhem mission, in which Mandark needs Buttercup's leather jacket for Nano improvement, or if you are performing the Ms. Missing guide mission from Dexter. Apparently, Buttercup had amnesia but eventually regained her memory after her battle with Mojo. During this time, Ace takes her into his band under the identity of Belladonna. She can give out the "I'm Still Standing" mission, in which the player tells Buttercup's family about her
whereabouts (in order of Professor Utonium, Blossom, and Bubbles) and participates for a few parts of the "How to Date a Fusion" mission, in which the player eventually faces Fusion Buttercup again. Buttercup also gives the mission "Drop Your Weapons (Part 2 of 5)," after she contacts players during the first mission for Coco, while Mandy contacts players when they are done with Part 2. She informs the player that Ace, the leader of the Gangreen Gang, had taken her into his band. She also mentions that Ace is her boyfriend (a possible reference to The Powerpuff Girls episode "Buttercrush"), as proven in the Valentine's Day event and the mission "How to Date a Fusion."

FusionFall Bios: Dexter (Dexters Laboratory)
Dexter is the younger (but more intelligent) brother of Dee Dee. He is a boy genius and is fully devoted to science, but he is also very arrogant and takes great pride in his intelligence. In the series, he has a lab behind his bookshelf, where he performs experiments and creates inventions, which usually leads to trouble for him and his surroundings. His lab is usually devastated by his sister Dee Dee who just wants to play with his inventions.
Dexter inadvertently created the chupacabra, but this causes some confusion concerning the chupacabra in The Secret Saturdays and in The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.
Prior to FusionFall, Dexter has asserted himself as a world famous genius and inventor, and can sometimes seem like the leader in the fight against Fuse. Before he hit his teenage years, Dexter founded his company, DexLabs, and became more and more withdrawn therefore after. Computress, Dexter's robotic assistant became his only companion.
In the manga, it states that after the first Terrafusers landed on Earth, Dexter finally came out of seclusion and teamed up with ten-year-old Ben Tennyson, Professor Utonium, Blossom, Bubbles, Dee Dee, Numbuh Five, Numbuh Two, Mac, Bloo, and his arch-rival, Mandark, to defend Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends from the Fusion Spawn invaders. Dexter developed plans for an Electronic Pulse Cannon to disable the Terrafusers. Unfortunately, two key parts to the EPC were in the custody of both his nemesis, Mandark, and the villain, Mojo Jojo. Mojo's part was recovered without a hitch, but Mandark refused to hand over his part unless he could oversee the construction of the EPC. Dexter reluctantly agreed and formed an uneasy alliance with his rival. Unfortunately, Mandark was distracted by his infatuation with Dee Dee, and made a fatal error in programing the EPC, causing it to jam at a crucial moment. Dexter was able to fix the error, and fired the cannon at the main Terrafuser, but not before it shot a signal that brought Planet Fusion to Earth.
Dexter serves as one of the four guides players can choose to take missions from.
He aims to find out just what has happened to the heroes who have disappeared during the Fusion Invasion, using an alien device known as the Power Level Tracker. Eventually, it is revealed that Fusion Demongo, with his counterpart's stolen powers, is the cause of the disappearances. With the enlisted help of Samurai Jack, the player rescues and frees the missing heroes. In the aftermath, it is revealed that Aku, Jack's mortal enemy, is lurking in the shadows.
Dexter also appears to have a dislike of imaginary friends, like Mandark's hatred of magic. It is more likely, however, that he was mad only at Coco for destroying one of his machines and at Cheese for disabling the shields during an important battle. (Very likely these displays of impatience resulted more from his lack of tolerance for annoying individuals such as Dee Dee than for Imaginary Friends as such, meaning he would show no hate for Wilt or Eduardo).
Echo Echo stated during the Birthday Bash that Dexter made a device that lets Ben send his aliens around the world. How he had done this without damaging the Omnitrix is still unknown. As of February 2011, Dexter can be seen at Mt. Neverest, telling recruits what his guide missions involve.
FusionFall Retro Bevblog #6: Corruption Eruption Trouble!
Hey everyone, and welcome back
to another Devblog for FusionFall: Retro. This week we're looking at
NPC abilities, such as eruption and corruption attacks, both of which
have been added to Retro. This brings us a step closer in accurate
combat.
A corruption attack is when a fusion tries to attack your active nano. The type of corruption attack varies based on the type of nano, being Adaptium, Blastons, or Cosmix. There is a small delay before the attack is fired. The damage that your nano takes depends on its strength. If your nano is not strong enough it will lose a large portion of its stamina. If it is strong enough it will gain stamina back. Note that corruption attacks can still occur even if you don't have a nano active, in which case the damage would just be directed to the player. In case you forgot what they look like, here is one:
The second type of attack is the eruption attack. This attack places a patch of fusion matter under the player. The only way to dodge these is by running off the patch. After a few seconds the patch will explode and damage players still standing on the patch. The damage depends on the difference between you and the enemy's level. Generally these explode after 3 seconds. Monsters with the stun ability are more likely than others to utilize this ability. Eruption attacks look like these:
We're still trying to get regular combat as accurate as it can be in terms of numbers. Our goal is to make it fair and balanced, and this brings us a step closer to fully-featured combat in Retro. This is one of the core features we want to be sure we get right before entering the beta stage.
Be sure to tune in for more updates regarding closed beta and the requirements to be eligible for the short closed beta period that will occur sometime in the coming months. Be reminded that this closed beta period will last only for a few days. These few days will help us ensure that everything is stable enough to open up publicly. Thanks again for your guys' continued support! It truly means the world to us.

FusionFall Bios: Computress (Dexters Laboratory)
Computress is Dexter's personal computer that oversees the running of the lab and has a personality of its own. While she does her best to give Dexter advice when he is about to make a bad choice, he usually ignores her, leading to disastrous results. Dexter sometimes refers to her as "my love" or "my dear" (Yeah its fucked up). Computress was once "Computer," from Dexter's old lab, but her personality and all of her data was transported into a mobile body, essentially moving Computer herself.
In FusionFall, Dexter has upgraded Computress with hovering and mobile technology. She serves as both his personal assistant and the forewoman behind production at Dexlabs. Computress is both respected and admired by both the Dexbots and even the cynical Mandroids. However, as seen in the manga, Computress's computerized heart belongs to only one man, Professor Utonium.
In the Future, Computress served as the only guide, determined to help the player return to the Past by sending him/her to recover various items to rebuild the time machine. She helped the player understand the basics of battle (as well as the mechanics of the game).
In the Past, Computress handles the missions in the Mt. Neverest tutorial area which introduces the player to the four Guides he/she can select. After that, she can be found beside Dexter in front of the Dexlabs building in Tech Square. She mainly requires the player to help with the problems in Tech Square. She also helps resolve the issue of the quarrel between Mojo Jojo and Mandark by finding and sending the player into the Secret Lair of Fusion Max who had been the real culprit all along.
FusionFall Bios: Eternal Meadows
Eternal Meadows is a large area mostly consisting of the "Boneyard" infected zone. It lies north of Eternal Vistas and is part of Endsville. The infected zone is home to Fusions Billy and Him, and a Monkey Skyway Agent lies directly outside the warp gate of the infected zone.
Other features of Eternal Meadows include the giant graveyard in the south part of the area, as well as the A. Kwest gravestone, which contains a Level 29 mission. There are also some random Urban Rangers surrounding a gravestone, crying for a friend lost in the war.
A treasure deposit of Crazy Brain candy is here and Batty Bloodsuckers have Buttercup's Scrapbook. To find a Batty Brampire, the player should go to the back of The Boneyard (outside). The body of liquid Fusion Matter in the Boneyard resembles a skull, and may have some relation to the "skull island" south of Orchid Bay.
FusionFall 101: What are Missions?
Welcome new player to the 1st guide for beginners for FusionFall RETRO! Today we will talk about Missions! Every MMO and game has them, and you can earn awesome rewards from them if you do them correctly! Lets see what we can learn today...
1- How to get Missions?
Missions can be obtained by the many CN characters, which are called NPCs in this case. You know you can get a mission when you see an Exclamation Point on top of an NPC! This will let you know if that NPC has a Mission for you to complete!
2- What do i get for completing Missions?
By completing missions, you can get a variety of rewards!
1- Crates! Crates contain an item, weapon or accesory to use. They can also be obtained from Coco Eggs and Monsters, but we will talk about those in a later guide.
2- Taros! Taros are used to pay transport, like Monkey Skyway Agents. Clothing, weapons and items bought from Shopkeepers and much more!
3- Fusion Matter! Fusion Matter (Short: FM) is used to level up to another level, thus getting a Nano Mission, and to change Guides. As Ben 10 in the Tutorial says: "Its Really Important Stuff"
3- What type of Missions are available?
There are many types of missions available!
1- World Missions! These missions are available every time you hit a new level and mostly revolve around the area or zone youre in.
2- Guide Missions! Guide Missions are given out every time you hit a new level. They have to do with the Guide you chose. Every guide has 36 missions for every level, and these can be very easy, or quite hard.
3- Nano Missions! Nano Missions reward you with a Nano every time you complete them! You receive these every time you level up as well, and just like Guide missions, theres 36 of them and can be very hard or hard to complete.
Thats all for this guide! See you all next time!

FusionFall RETRO Devblog #5: Group Feature!
Hello everyone, here's our second devblog for tonight. This time we're re-introducing groups!
In case you forgot, groups allow you to warp into fusion lairs with friends, share group nano abilities and also shows your friends' health, nano, level, and a private chat between group members only.
Remember that when you want to warp in or out of a lair together, you have to be close to each other. Only 4 players are allowed in a group, unfortunately we can't raise this limit. Groups are another component of our invite system that we have in place. Like in the original, invites can be "stacked" up. This means that if two people invite you to a group, and then another two people invite you to a trade, you get them all in order. Same goes for trade and buddy invites.
In the original game, you may have also noticed how some monsters moved in groups, usually with a big leader in the middle, with all of the smaller monsters around the leader. These will also be featured in Retro, and attacking one of the monsters will cause other members of the group to also start attacking you. Here's a screenshot from the original that shows this:
We plan to have a new devblog on Friday this week, in a more timely manner. We've been busy with adding new things and preparing the game for the beta stage. We're getting close and we thank you for your patience and support. In case you missed it, also check our previous Devblog we posted today recapping the livestream yesterday.

Music Monday #3: All Hail Mandark!
Music Monday with Panman14
Welcome to Music Mondays! Today, composer Panman14 talks about what went into crafting a brand new music track!Help! Mandark Industries has taken over the Legacy Studio Hall! They demanded that I remake the Mandark's House track and feature it in Music Monday #3!
The goal here was to add some tension/depth that I felt the orignal was lacking a bit. The use of small electronics were added so I can try to match and add to the orignal style a bit. I really wanted this song to feel like Mandark from the orignal show, but also add a little sense of duty since he's on the fight against Fuse and all.
I don't know about you, but I'm happy Mandark's catching a break being featured in Music Mondays before Dexter has a chance to surpass him, right? Uh oh! My new boss is coming in. Quick! Click on the link and listen to the music so I don't get fired!
You can take a listen to the new song here!
